Energy-Efficient LED Light Fixtures
Every Borgen refrigerated case is equipped with a standard LED lighting system. LED lights are not only more energy efficient than incandescent bulbs or CFL lights, but they also have a longer lifespan and are more durable. Most of the heat generated by an LED is drawn away from the light source, so merchandise within the cooler will not be affected by any thermal release. Borgen can even design freezers and coolers with motion-sensitive lights. The LED fixtures will remain off until a customer activates the sensor to light up the inside of the case. Not only do the lights aid in customer experience to help them see the product, but the motion lights serve as an additional way to capture consumers’ attention. Energy efficiency is maximized because the lights illuminate only when customers approach the case.
Environmentally Friendly Powder Coat Paint
All Borgen cases are painted with our in-house, environmentally friendly powder coating process. Powder coat paint is not only eco-friendly, but it is also the preferred method of painting commercial and industrial coolers. The precision and durability of powder coating is unmatched by other painting methods, such as liquid paint. Powder coat paint is resistant to rust, chipping, scratches, fading, and other wear and tear issues. Eco-Friendly Insulating Foam
Borgen Merchandising Systems was one of the first manufacturers in the industry to adopt eco-friendly insulating foam. A combination of wood and metal, each refrigerated case is insulated with foam that is environmentally friendly and leaves absolutely no gaps in the structure. The quick-drying foam expands to fully seal the structure from the inside. Because the refrigerated case is sealed without any spaces, it is able to run more efficiently, therefore minimizing wasted energy.
